fortniteecheck.online is an impersonation phishing page that borrows the Fortnite name. The doubled "e" in the domain makes it look like an official account-checking service, and its targets are Fortnite players. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-19. When last checked on 2026-10-19, the host was still responding but DNS for the page content was inactive.
How the scam works
Sites like this promise a quick account check, free in-game currency or rare skins, then send the player to a sign-in form that copies the official look. Whatever is typed in, whether username, password or sometimes a one-time code, goes straight to the operators. They use it to take over the game account, strip purchased items and change the recovery email. The page title shows only "Loading" and no Fortnite branding, while we classified the site as Fortnite impersonation.
Evidence
Nine of 91 VirusTotal engines flag the domain as of 2026-09-29. Among them are alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky. That is a minority of engines, but it includes several major vendors and backs our listing. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other analysts have tracked it independently.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-08-30 through Global Domain Group LLC, just 20 days before we detected it. That short gap is typical of a throwaway domain set up for one campaign. It is hosted on the M/S ROBI TRADERS network in Turkey. The free Let's Encrypt certificate means the padlock in the browser proves nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
If you entered your Fortnite or Epic Games login here, change that password right away from the official site or app. Change it anywhere else you reused it, turn on two-factor authentication and sign out all other sessions. Check that your account email and linked payment methods have not been changed, and contact Epic Games support if you have lost access. Never trust offers of free V-Bucks or "account checks" on third-party domains. Defenders should block fortniteecheck.online at DNS and web proxies and watch for similar Fortnite-themed lookalike domains.
