fortmv.world is a phishing page that impersonates Epic Games. It targets players who think they are signing in to their Epic account. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-19. As of 2026-10-19 the domain is still registered and responding, but its DNS no longer serves the phishing content, so it could be pointed at a live page again.
How the scam works
The page shows only the bare domain name as its title, and urlscan.io matched its content to Epic Games branding. Sites like this copy the look of an official login or promotional page, often tempting players with free in-game currency, skins or rewards. A visitor who enters an email and password, and sometimes a one-time 2FA code, hands the attacker everything needed to log in. The attacker can then lock the owner out, take over the game library and in-game items, and misuse any saved payment method.
Evidence
On 2026-09-30, 11 of 91 VirusTotal engines classed the domain as malicious. They include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, alphaMountain.ai and Bfore.Ai PreCrime, a mix of established antivirus vendors and predictive URL-reputation services. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict with the Epic Games brand detection. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, and four AlienVault OTX pulses reference it, so several researchers have tracked it independently.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-08 through Global Domain Group LLC, just 11 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of throwaway phishing domains set up for a single campaign. It is hosted at 46.29.26.38 on the M/S ROBI TRADERS network in Turkey. A Let's Encrypt certificate gives the page a padlock, which shows the connection is encrypted but says nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
If you entered your Epic Games credentials here, change your Epic password right away, and change it anywhere else you reused it. Then enable or reset two-factor authentication and sign out all other sessions from your account settings. Check your purchase history and linked payment methods for charges you did not make, and contact Epic support and your card issuer if you find any. Defenders should block fortmv.world and 46.29.26.38 at DNS and proxy level, and watch for lookalike domains that use gaming lures.
