How the scam works
Free-coin pages for popular games follow a familiar script. The visitor enters a username or chooses a coin amount, sees a fake generator animation, and is then told to verify their account. That step usually means signing in with the login tied to the game, such as a platform or email account, through a form the operators control. The coins never arrive. The real loss is the account itself: its progress, purchased items and any linked payment methods. A reused password can also expose other services.
Evidence
On 2026-09-20, five of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and desenmascara.me. That is a low count, so most browsers and security tools may still load the page without any warning. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist listing it so far. It also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers have tied it to malicious activity.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through NameCheap, Inc. on 2025-12-28, about eight months before PhishDestroy caught it. That long gap suggests it may have been kept in reserve or used quietly before it was detected. It is hosted on Amazon's network in the US and uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate. The padlock in the address bar only means the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
What to do
Do not enter any login details on eft26.site. Official eFootball currency comes only through the game and its authorized stores. If you already signed in there, change that account's password right away and enable two-factor authentication. Then sign out of all other sessions and check for unfamiliar logins or changes to the linked email. Change the password anywhere else you used it, and watch linked payment methods for charges you did not make. Defenders should block the domain at DNS or the web proxy, check logs for earlier visits from their users, and report it to the eFootball publisher's security team.
