PhishDestroy first identified it on 2026-09-06, and it was still live with active content as of 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake exchange platforms lure victims with promises of AI-driven trading returns behind a credible-sounding brand. The page title 'atatürk miras fonu | AI Trading Platform | Official Website' is designed to suggest both governmental authority and technological sophistication. Users are encouraged to open accounts and deposit cryptocurrency, after which the platform blocks withdrawals or invents fee requirements to extract additional funds. Any money deposited is effectively stolen, and secondary demands for 'release fees' are part of the same theft.

Evidence

Eighteen of 89 engines on VirusTotal flagged this domain as malicious as of 2026-09-18, with confirmed detections from BitDefender, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, Chong Lua Dao, CRDF, and CyRadar. Five independent OTX threat-intelligence pulses further corroborate the classification. The domain is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-06-21 through NETIM SAS, less than three months before PhishDestroy first detected it.
