aminoasylum.shop is an impersonation phishing site on a .shop domain, built to pass itself off as a store its visitors already trust. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-04. As of 2026-10-19 the domain is still alive and serving a redirect, so the site remains live even if the landing page changes. The page currently carries the title "Coming Soon", while our classification is impersonation phishing.
How the scam works
Impersonation shops borrow a familiar name and storefront look so that a visitor arriving from an ad, search result or message assumes they are on the real site. The victim is then led to sign in, place an order or pay. The login details, personal information and card or payment data typed into those forms go to the operators, and orders are never fulfilled. A redirecting domain can also send visitors on to a separate page where the actual collection happens.
Evidence
Six of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-15: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is a low share of engines, but the six are independent vendors spanning reputation, threat-intel and endpoint products, and they reached the same verdict separately. The domain appears in four AlienVault OTX pulses, which means other researchers have also tracked it. Among blocklists, it is currently listed by PhishDestroy.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2022-05-13 through Name.com, Inc., more than four years before PhishDestroy detected it. An older registration can make a domain look more trustworthy to filters and users than a newly created one. The site sits behind Cloudflare, Inc. (address 188.114.96.9, geolocated to Canada), which conceals the true origin server. It uses a certificate from Google Trust Services (WE1), so the browser padlock appears normally and says nothing about whether the shop is genuine.
What to do
If you entered a password on aminoasylum.shop, change it there and on any account that reuses it, and turn on two-factor authentication. If you entered card or bank details, contact your card issuer right away to block the card and dispute any charges. Watch for follow-up emails or texts that refer to your "order", because these often lead to a second scam. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, follow its redirect to find and block the destination, and search mail and web logs for users who visited it after 2026-09-04.
