PhishDestroy threat report
worldwideweb.stream is an impersonation phishing page dressed up as a documentation portal titled "Docs · world wide web". Its listing on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists points to crypto wallet users as the intended targets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-06, and as of 2026-10-19 the site is still online and serving its content.
Impersonation pages borrow the look and tone of a legitimate project, here a docs-style site, so that visitors trust what it asks them to do. Fake documentation is a common lure in crypto: a "setup guide" or "getting started" page steers readers to connect a wallet, sign a transaction, paste a recovery phrase or download a tool. Each of these hands control to the operator, and approved transactions or exposed seed phrases can empty a wallet within minutes. The page title reads as a generic documentation site rather than a recognisable brand, while our classification is impersonation phishing.
Nine of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-10-06. The vendors include BitDefender, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and CyRadar. That is a modest share of engines, but the detections come from several unrelated vendors. Two crypto-focused lists back them up: MetaMask, whose blocklist triggers warnings inside the wallet itself, and SEAL. The domain also appears in two AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tied it to malicious activity.
The domain was registered through NameCheap, Inc. on 2026-10-02, four days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap fits a site set up quickly for a campaign rather than an established project. It runs on Railway, a cloud application platform, from an IP in the United States. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives the padlock icon, which says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
Do not follow any setup or connection steps on this site. If you connected a wallet, use a token approval checker to revoke every permission granted on or after your visit, and move remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not fully understand. If you typed a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer assets to a new one created on a clean device. If you downloaded a file, scan the machine before using it for anything wallet-related. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to wallet and email filtering rules.
