PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

webscz.com is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as WEB3.AI, the title shown in the browser tab, and is aimed at cryptocurrency and Web3 users. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-15. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its phishing content, so anyone who lands on it now sees the live lure.

How the scam works

The page borrows the WEB3.AI name and look so visitors believe they are on a legitimate Web3 platform. Copycat sites of this kind typically ask the visitor to connect a wallet, sign a transaction or approval, or type in a recovery phrase to unlock a feature, claim a reward or verify an account. Any of those steps can hand control of the wallet to the operators, who then move tokens and NFTs out. urlscan.io tagged the content as a crypto scam, which matches this pattern.

Evidence

Nine of 91 VirusTotal engines flag the domain as of 2026-09-25, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky. Nine is a modest count, but the vendors come from separate detection pipelines, and they agree with urlscan.io's malicious verdict. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing. Wallet-focused defenses also block it: the domain is on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists as well as PhishDestroy's own. Four AlienVault OTX pulses reference it, which means other researchers are tracking it too.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-07-03, about ten weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it was held in reserve or used quietly before its WEB3.AI branding drew attention. Registration is through Cloudflare, Inc. Traffic resolves to Cloudflare's network with a Canadian geolocation, which means the proxy sits in front of the real origin server and hides it.

What to do

Do not connect a wallet or sign anything on webscz.com, and never enter a recovery phrase on any site. If you connected a wallet, use a token-approval checker to revoke any permissions you granted and move your remaining assets to a fresh wallet. If you typed in your seed phrase, treat that wallet as fully compromised. Create a new wallet on a clean device and transfer whatever is left immediately. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and report it to Cloudflare's abuse channel so its fronting can be removed.
