Overview

thetrusturerise.online presents itself as "trusturerise – Premier International Banking," a bank that exists only as a website. It is aimed at people looking for an overseas or international account, the kind of customer who may move large sums on trust. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-09-09. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

Fake international banks follow a familiar pattern. A polished site invites visitors to open an account, then collects personal details, identity documents and login credentials. The scheme makes its money when victims are told to fund the account by wire or crypto transfer, or to pay "activation," "compliance" or "release" fees before a balance can be moved. Money sent to such a bank is not held anywhere it can be recovered, and the identity data handed over can be reused for further fraud.

Evidence

On 2026-09-18, seven of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Netcraft and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but it comes from vendors that specialise in phishing and newly registered threat domains. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tied it to malicious activity. Among blocklists it is currently listed by PhishDestroy.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-25 through the Turkish registrar Atak Domain Bilgi Teknolojileri A.Ş. and was caught 15 days later. That short gap fits a site built quickly to start taking deposits. It runs on the PONYNET network of FranTech Solutions, a US provider, on an address located in Germany. The Let's Encrypt certificate only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the bank is real.

What to do

Do not open an account, upload documents or send money to trusturerise. If you have already transferred funds, contact your bank or payment provider immediately to request a recall or dispute, and file a report with police and your national fraud authority. Refuse any further "fee" needed to release a balance, because those demands are part of the scam. If you shared a password, change it wherever you reused it and enable two-factor authentication. If you sent ID documents, watch your accounts for identity misuse. Security teams should block the domain and its hosting address and check logs for user visits.
