PhishDestroy threat report
suicleaner.fun impersonates Sui with a page titled "Sui Cleaner — Clean Your Sui Wallet" and targets people who hold assets in Sui wallets. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-07. As of 2026-10-19 the host was still responding, but the domain's DNS no longer served the phishing content. That means the site could be reactivated at any time.
Wallet "cleaner" lures play on a real annoyance: Sui wallets often fill up with spam tokens and unsolicited NFTs. The page promises to sweep that clutter away. To do it, the visitor is asked to connect their wallet and approve a transaction, or to type in their recovery phrase so the tool can supposedly do the cleanup. The approved transaction moves the victim's real assets to the attacker, and a surrendered recovery phrase gives the attacker complete and permanent control of the wallet. Nothing gets cleaned. The victim loses whatever the wallet held.
On 2026-10-11, 9 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The flagging vendors include ChainPatrol, a crypto-focused scanner, along with BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Kaspersky and SOCRadar. MetaMask and SEAL list it alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users with those protections should see a warning. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers have tracked it independently.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-11 through Global Domain Group LLC, 26 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap fits a purpose-built lure rather than an established project. It is hosted on Render's US cloud platform. Its certificate comes from Google Trust Services, so the padlock in the browser only means the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
If you entered your recovery phrase on this site, treat the wallet as lost. Create a new wallet with a fresh phrase on a trusted device and move any remaining assets to it immediately. If you connected a wallet and signed anything, check your transaction history for outgoing transfers. Disconnect the site in your wallet's connected-apps settings and move funds to a new address. Never use third-party "cleaner" sites: spam tokens can simply be hidden or ignored in the official wallet interface. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and watch for lookalike "cleaner" domains aimed at Sui users.
