ABUSE NOTICE · 7D+ OPEN Outgoing abuse reports are recorded; the latest stored availability evidence still shows the domain reachable.
Notification and current-status evidence
The sent-report ledger records the first outgoing report at . The recorded recipient is abuse@dynadot.com. The latest stored availability evidence still shows the domain reachable; 1 month has elapsed since the first outgoing report.
ICANN RAA §3.18 describes registrar abuse-contact and handling obligations. This section records outgoing timestamps, listed recipients, case identifiers, and later availability. It does not by itself prove receipt, acknowledgement, investigation, remediation, or contractual non-compliance.
smoky-stocks.com is an impersonation phishing site. It copies the look of a legitimate service so visitors believe they are dealing with the real thing. Its stocks-themed name points toward people interested in trading or investing. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-16, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving content.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages rely on borrowed trust. They copy the logos, layout and wording of a known brand, then ask the visitor to sign in, verify an account, or make a payment or deposit. Whatever is typed into those forms goes to the operators, not the real company. Victims can lose account access, card or bank details, and any money sent to the fake site. Stolen logins are often reused quickly to take over the genuine account.
Evidence
On 2026-09-29, 18 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as malicious. The vendors included BitDefender, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, ADMINUSLabs, CRDF, CyRadar and the Vietnamese anti-phishing group Chong Lua Dao. Agreement across that many unrelated security vendors makes a false positive unlikely. The domain also appears in five AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers have tracked it independently. PhishDestroy lists it on its own blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through DYNADOT LLC on 2025-10-28, almost eleven months before PhishDestroy detected it. An address that sits quietly for that long has time to age past filters that distrust brand-new domains. The site runs behind Cloudflare, with the edge address located in Canada, so the real origin server is not publicly visible. Its HTTPS certificate comes from Google Trust Services. The padlock in the browser only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is genuine.
What to do
If you entered a password here, change it on the real service right away, along with any other account that shares it, and turn on two-factor authentication. If you entered card or bank details or sent a payment, contact your bank or card issuer immediately to block the card and dispute the charges. Ignore any follow-up messages that offer "recovery" help. If a recovery phrase or private key was typed in, consider that wallet compromised and move any remaining funds to a new one. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and web proxies, search logs for past visits and form submissions, and report it to Cloudflare and the registrar so it can be taken down.

Availability, content, DNS and registration are independent evidence layers. NXDOMAIN, an unreachable origin or missing content alone does not prove registrar action. A registrar or provider is credited only when a direct technical marker identifies that actor. Report causality is shown separately.
