PhishDestroy threat report
ponsfamily.cfd is an impersonation phishing page that borrows the Pons name and presents itself as "Pons market overview | Launch Observatory". It targets crypto users looking for Pons token data or launch information. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-25. The site was still responding on 2026-10-19.
The page title frames the site as a market-tracking and launch dashboard, a familiar way to attract traders hunting for early token listings. Impersonation pages like this copy a project's look and point visitors toward a "connect wallet", claim or presale step. That step either asks for a seed phrase or requests a signature or token approval that gives the operator control over the victim's assets. Once the victim signs or hands over the secret, funds can be moved out immediately and cannot be recovered.
On 2026-10-07, 11 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky. Those vendors run independent detection pipelines, so their agreement adds weight to the classification. MetaMask and SEAL both list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, which means many wallet users should already get a warning before the page loads. Two AlienVault OTX pulses also reference it.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-22 through Hosting Concepts B.V. (Registrar.eu), just three days before PhishDestroy caught it. That fast turnaround on a low-cost .cfd name fits a disposable, campaign-style setup. The site sits behind Cloudflare, with the address resolving to a Canadian edge node, so the real origin server is hidden from view.
Do not connect a wallet to ponsfamily.cfd or type a seed phrase or private key on it. If you connected and signed anything, revoke the token approvals granted to unfamiliar contracts with a trusted approval checker. If you entered a recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move the remaining assets to a newly created wallet at once. Check official Pons channels before trusting any launch or market page. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to wallet and browser protection lists. Abuse reports to Cloudflare and the registrar help speed up takedown.
