How the scam works
Fake crypto casinos follow a familiar pattern. The player funds an account with crypto, and the site shows a balance that may grow through bonuses or apparent wins. When the player tries to cash out, withdrawals stall behind invented requirements such as wagering thresholds, "verification" deposits or unlock fees. The claim to be the "most popular" blockchain casino is meant to borrow credibility the brand never earned. Anything deposited should be treated as lost, and every extra fee paid only adds to the loss.
Evidence
Fourteen of 90 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain when it was checked on 2026-09-06, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and CyRadar. That is a solid showing for a young domain, and the flags come from independent vendors. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and tagged the page with its generic crypto and crypto-scam brand signatures. MetaMask and SEAL list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, which means wallet users were warned before connecting. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-05-23 through Fewmoretaps OU d/b/a Trustname.com, about 105 days before we detected it. It went dark six days after first detection. That short active window fits a throwaway casino brand on a cheap .sbs domain, built to collect deposits and then disappear. Traffic ran through Cloudflare, Inc., with the edge address geolocated to Canada, so the true origin server stays hidden.
What to do
If you deposited funds on playmira.sbs, do not send any further payment labelled as a tax, fee or verification charge. These demands are how such sites extract more money, and paying them never releases a balance. Save transaction hashes, deposit addresses and any chat logs, then report them to the exchange you sent from and to your local cybercrime unit.
