PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

netnetcapital.life presented itself as "NetNet Capital Management," an investment-firm identity used to win the trust of people looking to grow crypto holdings. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page and first flagged it on 2026-09-29. The site went offline on 2026-09-30 and was still dead with unreachable content when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake capital-management sites borrow the polish of a real fund: a corporate name, talk of managed portfolios, and promises of steady yield. Visitors are steered toward opening an account, handing over login or identity details, or sending crypto to a "managed" deposit address. Some versions ask the visitor to connect a wallet to fund an account. Whatever goes in, whether deposits, credentials or wallet access, ends up with the operators, and later "withdrawal" requests usually bring new fees rather than money back.

Evidence

Wallet-security blocklists picked this one up quickly. MetaMask and SEAL list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users who had those protections were warned before the page loaded. Generic antivirus coverage was thin. Only CRDF flagged it among 91 VirusTotal engines on 2026-09-29, a common gap for short-lived phishing sites that most scanners never reach. One AlienVault OTX pulse also references the domain.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Eranet International Limited on 2026-09-27, two days before PhishDestroy detected it. It went dark one day after detection, which points to a disposable domain built for a brief run. Traffic passed through Cloudflare, Inc. (172.67.214.9, geolocated to Canada), so that address belongs to Cloudflare's network and hides the real origin server. The Let's Encrypt certificate gave the page a padlock, which shows the connection was encrypted but says nothing about whether the site was legitimate.

What to do

If you sent funds to an address shown on this site, stop sending more. Ignore any later demands for "unlock" or "withdrawal" fees, and report the transfer to the exchange you sent it from and to your local police. If you entered a password or personal details, change that password everywhere you reused it, turn on app-based 2FA, and watch for follow-up messages claiming to be NetNet Capital. If you connected a wallet, check for token approvals you did not intend and revoke them. Defenders should block the domain and look in mail and chat logs for lures that mention NetNet Capital Management, since the same branding may come back on a new domain.

How do phishing scams typically work?

  • 虚假网站 — 与正规网站完全一致的克隆网站，仅域名略有改动
  • 猪的屠宰 — 通过Telegram/WhatsApp/交友软件花数周时间建立信任，随后钱被骗走
  • 退款诈骗 — 诈骗者冒充资金追回机构并索要预付费用。在独立核实服务方之前，切勿分享助记词或付款
  • 利用人工智能实施的诈骗 — 深度伪造、自动化网络钓鱼以及人工智能生成的网站，使得欺诈行为更难被察觉
