PhishDestroy threat report
marketvote.digital was an impersonation phishing site whose only visible branding was the page title "Vote", a lure built around a fake poll or governance ballot. PhishDestroy flagged it on 2026-09-04, the same day the domain was registered. Its listing on crypto-focused blocklists shows it was aimed at cryptocurrency and wallet users. The site has been offline since 2026-09-28, and its DNS was still inactive when we last checked on 2026-10-19.
Voting-themed impersonation pages ask visitors to "cast a vote" or "verify eligibility" for a project, airdrop or community poll. The vote button is the trap. It leads to a login prompt, a request for a seed phrase, or a wallet connection that ends in signing something the victim did not intend to approve. What the victim loses depends on the step they completed: account credentials, the recovery phrase that controls a wallet, or the funds that a malicious signature unlocks.
On 2026-09-14, eight of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky, SOCRadar and Sophos. That is a modest count, but the vendors are independent of each other and of the crypto-security community. MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL also listed the site alongside PhishDestroy. These are the blocklists that wallets and Web3 security tools rely on to warn users before they sign. It also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
The domain went from registration to detection within a single day, and the site was gone about three weeks later. That short lifespan fits disposable phishing infrastructure. It was registered through Spaceship, Inc. and hosted at 94.156.114.68 in Germany. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gave the page a padlock, which shows only that the connection was encrypted, not that the operator was legitimate.
If you entered a seed phrase on this site, treat that wallet as compromised and move any remaining assets to a newly created wallet right away. If you connected a wallet or signed a transaction, review and revoke token approvals with a reputable approval-checking tool. If you typed a password, change it everywhere you reused it and turn on two-factor authentication. Defenders should block the domain and its IP and search proxy and DNS logs for visits between 2026-09-04 and 2026-09-28. They should also watch for new look-alike "vote" domains appearing on the same infrastructure.
