PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-16. As of 2026-10-19 the site is online and still serving content.
How the scam works
Impersonation sites like this one copy a familiar brand and wrap it in useful-looking content, such as product spreadsheets and buying guides. That content earns the visitor's trust, and then pushes them toward fake login forms, checkout pages or unofficial ordering channels. Anyone who acts on it can lose account credentials, payment card details or money paid for orders that never arrive. The page title only advertises a spreadsheet and daily guide, but we classify the domain as impersonation phishing because it trades on the Kakobuy brand without being an official Kakobuy property.
Evidence
The classification comes from PhishDestroy's own analysis, and PhishDestroy is the only blocklist currently listing the domain. When VirusTotal checked it on 2026-10-16, none of its 92 engines flagged it. Coverage from automated scanners is therefore absent for now, which is common for newly registered domains. A clean VirusTotal result should not be taken as proof that the site is safe.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-10-13 through Spaceship, Inc., three days before PhishDestroy detected it. It is hosted on the AMAZON-02 network operated by Amazon.com, Inc. in the US, at 52.37.165.222. Its TLS certificate was issued by Let's Encrypt (YE1), so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
What to do
If you visited this site, do not log in, place orders or make payments through it, and reach Kakobuy only by typing its official address yourself. If you entered a password, change it on the real Kakobuy account and on every other account where you used the same password, and turn on two-factor authentication where it is available. If you entered card details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any unfamiliar charges. Security teams should block kakobuyde.cyou and its hosting IP at DNS and web proxy level, and watch for similar lookalike domains that use the Kakobuy name with cheap top-level domains.
