Overview

jokabet-es.website is an impersonation phishing page built around the Jokabet online casino name, with an "-es" suffix that points it at players in Spain. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-31. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving content behind a protective challenge page, so it remains a live risk.

How the scam works

Lookalike domains like this pose as the official betting site so that players log in, register or make a deposit on what they believe is the real casino. Anything typed there, including usernames, passwords, personal details and card or crypto payment data, goes to the operators, and deposited funds are not credited to any genuine account. The visible page title is "Just a moment...", a generic browser-check screen rather than casino branding, while our classification is impersonation phishing.

Evidence

Six of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain at the 2026-09-12 check: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but several of these vendors feed web filters directly, so many users are already protected. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL with a phishing tag, and four AlienVault OTX pulses reference it. Other analysts have reached the same conclusion we did.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-27 through NICENIC INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO., LIMITED, just four days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of throwaway phishing domains that are set up and used quickly. The site sits behind Cloudflare, Inc. on an address geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server and explains the challenge page visitors see first.

What to do

If you logged in or registered here, change your Jokabet password right away, along with any other account that shares it, and turn on two-factor authentication. If you entered card details or sent a deposit, contact your bank or payment provider to dispute the charge and block the card. Do not send further "verification" or "unlock" payments if anyone asks. Always reach the casino by typing its known address rather than following links from ads or messages. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, and Spamhaus DBL consumers are already covered.
