PhishDestroy threat report
gov-eadn.shop is on the PhishDestroy blocklist, which we first logged on 2026-10-11. The name opens with "gov-", a prefix that resembles official government addresses, but it sits on a cheap retail .shop extension that no government uses. The site was still alive on 2026-10-19 and was answering requests with a redirect.
The page title shows a Cloudflare "520: Web server is returning an unknown error" message, not branded content. That conflicts with the domain being blocklisted, because the error page itself takes nothing from visitors. The risk sits behind the redirect. A domain styled like a government site can send visitors to pages that ask for personal details, payments or logins. Treat anything this domain leads to as untrusted, and do not submit identity documents, card numbers, passwords or wallet details there.
On 2026-10-16, 5 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, LevelBlue, SOCRadar and Sophos. That is low coverage, but five unrelated vendors reached the same verdict on their own, which carries weight for a new domain. Three AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference it, so other researchers are tracking it. Among the blocklists we checked, only PhishDestroy currently lists it.
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-04-25, about 169 days before we detected it. That gap suggests it was registered early and kept idle until it was put to use. Traffic resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. (104.21.14.24, geolocated to CA), a reverse-proxy service that hides the real origin server. The 520 error means that hidden origin was failing to respond properly when the page was fetched. The certificate is a free, automatically issued Let's Encrypt (YE1) one, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about who runs the site.
If you only opened the page, close it and do not follow wherever it redirects. If you entered personal or payment details, contact your bank to block the card, and watch for identity misuse or follow-up messages that claim to come from a government office. If you typed a password, change it everywhere you reuse it and turn on two-factor authentication. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and the web proxy, and search logs for visits and redirect chains that started from it.
