PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

PhishDestroy’s intake AI recorded on 2026-10-21 that the page displayed a prompt to connect a crypto wallet and vote on a rewards start date. The page excerpt captured was “Connect the wallet you used at snapshot, pick a rewards start date, and submit your ballot before the window closes. Vote Now”. At the time of the fetch the site returned HTTP 200. A Cloudflare Radar scan later the same day returned HTTP 404, indicating the page was not reachable at that moment.

How the scam works

A wallet‑drainer typically shows a legitimate‑looking call‑to‑action that asks the visitor to link their Web3 wallet via a modal such as Web3Modal. When the user approves, the site can obtain token‑transfer or contract‑execution permissions, allowing the attacker to move funds without further interaction.

Evidence

The intake record on 2026-10-21 cited a fresh URLScan analysis that gave a malicious verdict with a score of 100 and tagged the page as phishing under the generic‑crypto category. VirusTotal’s domain scan on 2026-10-21 reported one suspicious detection (Forcepoint ThreatSeeker) and no malicious detections out of 92 engines. Google Safe Browsing checked on 2026-10-21 did not flag the domain. OTX had zero pulses as of that date. PhishDestroy’s internal blocklist also marked the domain as malicious.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-10-21 through NICENIC INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO., LIMITED. The DNS records observed on 2026-10-21 listed A addresses 172.67.147.79 and 104.21.28.188, which belong to Cloudflare, Inc. The TLS certificate recorded on that date was issued by Let’s Encrypt / YE2 and was valid until 2027-01-19.

If a wallet was connected, immediately revoke any approvals granted to unknown contracts and consider moving assets to a new wallet. Change any passwords used on the site, although none were required for the wallet prompt.
