PhishDestroy threat report
duplicate-disabled-401670.invalid is an impersonation phishing page that presented itself as "Elite capitals - Automated Bot Trading Platform." It targeted people looking for hands-off crypto trading returns, borrowing the Elite Capitals name to look like an established service. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-09. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11 and was still unreachable at the last check on 2026-10-19.
The page's pitch is an automated trading bot: sign up, fund an account, and let the algorithm grow the balance. Impersonation pages of this kind collect account credentials and personal details at registration, then steer victims toward depositing cryptocurrency into the supposed platform. Dashboards in these schemes often show rising profits to encourage larger deposits. When victims try to withdraw, they are commonly asked for extra "fees" or "taxes," and those payments disappear along with the original deposit.
On 2026-08-21, VirusTotal showed 6 of 91 engines flagging the domain. The flagging vendors were alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Netcraft and SOCRadar. That count is modest, but it comes from several independent sources, including Netcraft, which specializes in phishing takedown. PhishDestroy lists the domain on its own blocklist.
The domain was registered on 2026-04-17 through OwnRegistrar, Inc. That is roughly four months before PhishDestroy detected it, a long enough window to recruit victims through ads or social channels before it drew attention. It was hosted on Truehost Cloud Limited in Kenya (102.212.247.115). It used a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock icon said nothing about whether the platform was legitimate.
If you deposited funds with this "Elite capitals" platform, do not pay any withdrawal, unlock or tax fee requested to release your balance. Additional payments do not recover funds in this scheme. Record your transaction hashes, deposit addresses and any chat history, and report them to your exchange and local police. If you registered, change that password everywhere you reused it, enable app-based 2FA, and expect follow-up "recovery" scam offers. Defenders should block the domain and IP, and watch for new lookalike domains using the Elite Capitals trading-bot branding.
