How the scam works
The domain name has nothing to do with Pump.fun, so the cloned branding has to do all the persuading. Fake launchpad pages like this usually ask the visitor to connect a wallet and then present a request to sign. That request looks like a routine step such as a token launch, a buy or a claim, but it actually authorizes transfers out of the wallet. Once the victim signs, the attacker can move tokens and SOL out of the wallet, and those on-chain transfers cannot be reversed.

On 2026-09-16, 7 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but it includes several major vendors. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and matched it to both Pump.fun and generic crypto branding.
