PhishDestroy threat report
com-a.sbs is an impersonation phishing site that posed as a legitimate service under the title "Service Status." Its listing on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists points to crypto wallet users as the intended targets. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-17. The site has been offline since 2026-09-18, and its content was still blocked by the provider when last checked on 2026-10-19.
Domains that begin with "com-" are a common phishing trick. When a brand name is placed in front, the full address can read like an official ".com" site at a glance. A "Service Status" page fits this kind of lure. Victims are told about an outage, a pending verification or an account problem, then pushed to sign in, enter a recovery phrase or connect a wallet to "restore" access. Whatever they hand over goes straight to the operators. The page title itself names no brand and reads as a generic status notice, while we classify the site as impersonation phishing.
On 2026-09-17, 4 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, SOCRadar and Webroot. That count is low, which is typical for a site caught within days of going live, before most vendors have seen it. Stronger backing comes from wallet-focused defenders. MetaMask and SEAL both blocklist the domain alongside PhishDestroy, and it appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
The domain was registered through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. on 2026-09-15, only two days before PhishDestroy detected it. It went dark the following day, a short lifespan that suggests a disposable throwaway domain. Traffic ran through Cloudflare, Inc., which geolocates to Canada and hides the true origin server. The site used a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock icon said nothing about whether the site was legitimate.
If you entered a password on this site, change it on the real service and on any account that shares it, then turn on app-based 2FA. If you typed a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move your funds to a new wallet right away. If you connected a wallet or signed a transaction, review and revoke token approvals using a trusted approval checker. Defenders should block com-a.sbs and watch for other look-alike domains that start with "com-" across new top-level domains.
