PhishDestroy threat report
ccufbi.online is an impersonation phishing site that greets visitors with a page titled Security Verification, posing as a legitimate check before access is granted. It targets anyone who lands on it through a link, ad or message and trusts that verification screen. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-08-10. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still alive and its content reachable through a redirect, so the threat is active.
Impersonation pages borrow the look and wording of a trusted service so the visitor does not question what is asked of them. A Security Verification screen fits this pattern well: people are used to clicking through such checks, so they follow instructions, enter credentials or approve actions without the caution they would apply elsewhere. The redirect means the visible address can hand the visitor to another page in the chain, where the actual capture of logins, personal details or one-time codes happens. What the victim loses is account access and whatever that account protects.
On 2026-09-20, 8 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Chong Lua Dao, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a minority of engines, but the flags come from independent vendors and threat feeds rather than a single source. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, showing other researchers have tracked it, and it is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered on 2025-10-27 through Global Domain Group LLC, roughly nine and a half months before PhishDestroy detected it. A gap like that suggests the name was held in reserve or used quietly before this campaign surfaced. It is hosted at 185.146.167.204 on the 20i Limited network in the US, behind a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site is safe.
If you passed through this verification page and typed in any username, password or code, change that password immediately on the real service and on any other account where you reused it. Turn on two-factor authentication, sign out of all active sessions, and review recent logins and recovery email or phone settings for changes you did not make. Do not return to the page to finish verification, and treat any follow-up message referencing it as part of the same scam. Defenders should block the domain and 185.146.167.204 at DNS, proxy and mail gateways, search logs for earlier visits, and report the site to 20i Limited and Global Domain Group LLC for takedown.
