Overview

The domain blizzardgearshop.shop hosts a fake online store that pretends to be Blizzard’s official gear shop. It copies Blizzard’s branding to lure fans and gamers looking for merchandise. PhishDestroy first detected the site on 2026-10-17. As of the last check on 2026-10-19 the site is still live and serving the fraudulent page.

How the scam works

The page is titled “The Official Blizzard Gear Store - Game Merchandise” and displays Blizzard logos and product images to appear legitimate. Visitors are prompted to log in with their Blizzard account or enter payment details to purchase non‑existent items. The collected credentials can be used to hijack accounts, access linked payment methods, or sell the data on underground markets. No wallet‑draining code was observed, so the primary loss is account takeover.

Evidence

VirusTotal scanned the site with 92 engines, 7 of which flagged it as malicious; detections came from alphaMountain.ai, ESET, G‑Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, Netcraft and Webroot. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and marked the page as a fake shop.
