PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

bjew.shop is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as the jewelry retailer "blingjewelry". It targets online shoppers looking for discounted jewelry and tries to collect their money and personal details. PhishDestroy first saw the domain on 2026-10-16. On 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

The page carries the title "blingjewelry | blingjewelry" and copies the look of a legitimate jewelry storefront so visitors believe they are buying from the real brand. Fake shops like this usually advertise steep discounts, then take card numbers, billing addresses and contact details at checkout. Victims may lose the purchase price and never receive goods, or receive cheap counterfeits instead. Card data and personal information entered at checkout can also be reused for fraud or sold.

Evidence

urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically flagged the site as a fake shop. On VirusTotal, 1 of 92 engines flagged the domain, Gridinsoft, as of 2026-10-16. This low count is typical for newly launched shop scams, which often appear before most vendors catch up. The domain is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist and appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The site resolves to 162.222.90.248 on the Malakmadze Web LLC network, located in Georgia (GE). It uses a TLS certificate issued by Let's Encrypt (YE1). The padlock shown in the browser only means the connection is encrypted. It does not show that the shop is legitimate.

How do phishing scams typically work?
