bernhelmetsgear.shop is an impersonation phishing site that poses as an official Bern Helmets shop. It uses the title "Skate, Snow & Bike Helmets for Every Rider | Bern Helmets" to look like the real brand. It targets riders shopping for protective gear who land on it from ads or search results. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-13, and it was still online and serving its storefront on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Sites like this copy a familiar brand's product catalog and branding, then attract buyers with prices that undercut genuine retailers. The shopper fills in a name, shipping address, email and payment card details at checkout. The order either never arrives or is replaced by a cheap item that bears no relation to what was paid for. The card details and personal data handed over at checkout can also be reused for further fraud, so the loss can go beyond the price of one helmet.
Evidence
urlscan.io rates the site malicious and specifically identifies it as a fake shop, which matches our classification. On VirusTotal, 7 of 92 engines flagged it as of 2026-10-17: CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, Netcraft and SOCRadar. That is a minority of engines, but it includes several established web-threat feeds. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers are tracking it independently.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-05-21, almost five months before we detected it. That gap suggests the domain was either set aside in advance or was operating unnoticed before the storefront drew attention. It resolves to 46.245.239.76 on a network registered to Malakmadze Web LLC in Georgia, with the IP geolocated to the US. A free Let's Encrypt certificate supplies the padlock icon, which proves nothing about whether the shop is legitimate.
What to do
If you ordered from this site, contact your bank or card issuer right away to dispute the charge and request a replacement card. Watch your statements for unfamiliar transactions. Treat follow-up emails about "delivery problems" or extra fees as part of the scam. If you reused the password from an account created there, change it everywhere you used it. Security teams should block the domain and its hosting IP, and retailers and ad platforms should report Bern-branded lookalike shops to the brand and to the registrar.
