PhishDestroy threat report
baanvelgenperformance.shop is an e-commerce scam that presents itself as "Baan Velgen Shop". "Velgen" is Dutch for wheel rims, so the storefront is pitched at car enthusiasts shopping for performance wheels. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-09. When last checked on 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its shop pages.
The page title, "Baan Velgen Shop | Baan Velgen", sells the image of a specialist rim retailer. Fake shops like this usually draw buyers in with discounted wheel sets, then collect payment and personal details at checkout. The goods never ship, or something worthless arrives in their place. Victims lose the purchase price and hand over their name, address and payment card details, which can be reused for further fraud.
On 2026-10-13, 15 of 92 VirusTotal engines classified the domain as malicious, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and CyRadar. That spread of established vendors points to a consistent verdict rather than one outlier. urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically identified it as a fake shop. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, and it is on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-07-24, roughly eleven weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. That is short enough to suggest a disposable storefront built for one campaign. It is hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network in Georgia. The free Let's Encrypt certificate only encrypts the connection and says nothing about whether the seller is genuine.
Do not place an order on this site. If you already paid by card, contact your bank right away to dispute the charge and ask about a replacement card. If you used PayPal or another payment service, open a buyer-protection claim. Watch for phishing emails or calls that reuse the name, address or phone number you entered, and change any password you created on the site wherever else you use it. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to retail-fraud watchlists.

Dated changes retained by the monitor and source collectors. Newest observations appear first; source states are not proof of a takedown.
