PhishDestroy threat report
apexblade.shop presents itself as a premium knife store under the page title "Knives | Discover Premium Knives", aimed at shoppers looking for high-end blades at attractive prices. PhishDestroy classifies it as an e-commerce scam and first flagged it on 2026-10-02. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still listed as alive, although its DNS was not serving content at that check, so it may be offline at any given moment and could return.
Fake shops like this copy the look of a legitimate specialty retailer, list products such as premium knives at discounted prices, and push visitors toward checkout. The buyer pays by card or another method and then receives nothing, a cheap substitute, or a fake tracking number that never updates. Along with the money, victims hand over their name, shipping address, email, phone number and often card details, which can be reused for fraud or targeted follow-up scams.
Fourteen of 91 security engines on VirusTotal flagged the domain on 2026-10-02. The vendors include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, ESET, Emsisoft, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft. Because that is a broad mix of independent vendors rather than a single source, the classification does not rest on one engine's judgement. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically identified the page as a fake shop, and the domain is on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-05-21, about four and a half months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap is consistent with a storefront that was set up and populated before it drew attention. It is hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network in the United States. The site uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the shop is genuine.
If you paid apexblade.shop, contact your bank or card issuer right away and request a chargeback for goods not received. Keep your order confirmation and any emails as evidence. If you entered card details, ask for the card to be replaced. Be wary of follow-up messages about "delivery problems" or refunds, because the scammers hold your contact and address details. Do not send any further payment to release an order. Security teams should block the domain and treat newly registered .shop storefronts selling discounted specialty goods with extra scrutiny.
