Overview

ynbnode.com is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself under the name YNB and targets cryptocurrency users. The domain name suggests a blockchain node or staking service, a common lure for people looking to earn yield on their crypto. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-16. As of 2026-10-19, the site was still online and serving live content.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages like this copy the branding and language of a crypto platform, here shown simply as YNB, so visitors believe they are dealing with a real service. Typical schemes in this category push the victim to connect a wallet, enter a recovery phrase or private key, or deposit funds for promised node rewards or staking returns. Anything typed into the page goes straight to the operators. A recovery phrase gives them full control of the wallet, and deposits sent to addresses shown on the page cannot be reversed.

Evidence

urlscan.io rated the page malicious and tagged it as a cryptoscam. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing. MetaMask and SEAL block it alongside PhishDestroy, and it appears in 3 AlienVault OTX pulses. VirusTotal coverage is thin: on 2026-10-16 only 1 of 92 engines, alphaMountain.ai, flagged it. Antivirus coverage of new crypto phishing domains often lags behind specialist blocklists.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-20 through Web Commerce Communications Limited dba WebNic.cc, less than a month before PhishDestroy detected it. It sits behind Cloudflare, Inc., with the IP 172.67.213.220 geolocated to CA, which hides the origin server. The TLS certificate was issued by Let's Encrypt (YE2), so the padlock in the browser says nothing about the site's legitimacy.

What to do

If you only visited the page, close it and do not return. If you entered a recovery phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised: create a new wallet on a trusted device and move any remaining assets to it immediately. If you sent funds, keep the transaction details and report the incident to your wallet provider and local authorities. Security teams should block ynbnode.com at DNS and proxy level and add it to email and chat filters. They should also report it to Cloudflare and WebNic.cc so the domain can be taken down.
