PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

xn--mrkng10059-zub.com is an impersonation phishing domain that poses as a legitimate brand or service to steal visitors' information. The "xn--" prefix marks it as an internationalized (punycode) domain, which can render with accented or lookalike characters in a browser and pass for a familiar name at a glance. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-16, one day after registration. As of 2026-10-19 the site was alive and redirecting visitors.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the look of a trusted site, then prompt visitors to log in, verify an account or enter personal details. Anything typed there goes straight to the operators, who can use it to take over accounts or run follow-up fraud. Lookalike internationalized domains help because the address bar can show a name that is nearly indistinguishable from the real one. When checked, the page title showed a Cloudflare "522: Connection timed out" error rather than branded content, while our classification is impersonation phishing.

Evidence

Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category (DBL_PHISH), which independently supports the classification. VirusTotal returned 0 detections out of 92 engines on 2026-10-16, so most antivirus vendors had not caught up with this domain at that point. PhishDestroy has added it to its blocklist. A clean VirusTotal result should not be read as a sign the site is safe, especially for a domain only days old.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-10-15 through Hosting Concepts B.V. d/b/a Registrar.eu. It resolves to 188.114.97.1 on AS13335 (Cloudflare, Inc.) in the US, which places the real origin server behind Cloudflare's network. Its TLS certificate was issued by Let's Encrypt (YE1), so the browser padlock only shows that the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
