wal.perklyspot.com poses as a Walmart promotion under the headline "$750 Walmart Gift Card Reward", aimed at shoppers who click through from ads, texts or emails expecting a free prize. Walmart has nothing to do with it. PhishDestroy first flagged the page on 2026-10-13, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
How the scam works
Fake gift card rewards follow a familiar funnel. A short quiz or "claim your reward" button builds a sense that the prize is nearly won. The visitor is then asked for a name, address, phone number and email, and often for card details to cover a small "shipping" or "verification" fee. That card entry is where the real damage happens. It can lead to recurring subscription charges, resale of the card details, or a stream of follow-up scam calls and messages. No $750 card ever arrives.
Evidence
Five of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-16: CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is a thin signal, and most security tools will not yet warn a visitor who lands here. Beyond those vendors, the domain appears only on the PhishDestroy blocklist. The classification rests mainly on the page itself, a retailer-branded prize offer on a domain unrelated to Walmart.

The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-08-07, roughly two months before PhishDestroy detected it. That suggests it was either held in reserve or quietly used before it drew attention. The page sits on Amazon's network (AS16509) in the US, behind a free Let's Encrypt certificate. The padlock in the browser only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about who runs the site. The "wal" subdomain on a generic "perks" style name lets one domain host several brand-specific lures.
What to do
If you entered a card number, call your bank to dispute any charge, cancel the card, and check your statements for small recurring payments over the coming months. If you gave your phone number or email, expect follow-up scam texts and calls, and ignore any that claim to be about your "reward". Walmart does not award gift cards through pop-up surveys.
