PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

usdc082.com is a domain on the PhishDestroy blocklist that borrows the ticker of the USDC stablecoin and adds a numeric suffix, a naming pattern that reads like one entry in a series of look-alike sites. Its page title is "onkeyon", which does not reference USDC or any crypto brand. That mismatch is why the domain is treated here as suspicious rather than assigned to a specific scheme. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-09, and it was still online and serving content as of 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Using a stablecoin name in a domain is a common way to win trust from people who hold or trade dollar-pegged tokens. Visitors may assume the site is connected to USDC. The "onkeyon" title does not reveal what the page asks of visitors. The realistic risk from a site like this is a request to connect a wallet, sign a transaction, deposit funds or enter login details. Any of these can hand control of crypto assets or accounts to whoever runs the site.

Evidence

On 2026-10-17, VirusTotal showed 7 of 92 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, LevelBlue, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is a minority of engines, but the vendors are independent of one another and agree that the site is unsafe. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tied it to malicious activity. Among public blocklists, only PhishDestroy currently lists it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. on 2025-12-29, more than nine months before PhishDestroy flagged it. A site can stay online for that long without being listed. It sits behind Cloudflare, Inc., with the serving address located in Canada. Cloudflare's proxy hides the actual origin server from visitors.

What to do

Do not connect a wallet to usdc082.com or sign anything it presents. If you already connected, review your token approvals with a revocation tool and cancel any you do not recognise. Move remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you signed an unfamiliar transaction or entered a seed phrase. If you typed a password there, change it wherever you reuse it and turn on two-factor authentication. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and watch for sibling domains that follow the same USDC-plus-number pattern.
