trnscl.com is an impersonation phishing page whose browser tab reads "1 new message", the kind of notification that pushes people to sign in and read something waiting for them. It targets anyone who gets a link promising an unread message and is willing to log in to view it. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-09-25. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
How the scam works
An unread-message notice is one of the oldest phishing hooks because it creates curiosity and urgency at the same time. The victim follows a link, lands on a page dressed up as a familiar inbox or messaging service, and is asked to log in before the message appears. Whatever goes into that form, usually an email address, password and sometimes a one-time code, goes straight to the operators. With those credentials they can take over the account, read private mail, reset passwords on linked services and send the same lure to the victim's contacts.
Evidence
Five of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain in a check on 2026-10-06: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, so many security products will still let the page load. Spamhaus lists the domain on its DBL as a spam source, which suggests the link is being pushed through bulk messages. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and is on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-01-15 through TuringSign Inc. (Cosmotown), about eight months before PhishDestroy detected it. A gap that long fits a domain that was held for a while before being used in a campaign. It resolves to 163.61.188.9 on the NEW DHAKA HARDWARE network in the US. The site uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the page is safe.
What to do
If you entered a password on this page, change it right away, starting with the account the page imitated and then every other account that uses the same password. Turn on two-factor authentication and sign out of all active sessions. Check your mail for new forwarding rules or filters, and warn your contacts not to open messages that seem to come from you. Defenders should block trnscl.com and 163.61.188.9 at the mail gateway and web proxy, and search email logs for messages containing the domain to find users who clicked.
