PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

sl8.online is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as an SL8 sign-in screen under the title "SL8 - Log in". It targets people who expect to reach a genuine SL8 account and are steered to this lookalike domain instead. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-16. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its phishing content.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the look of a trusted service's login page so the visitor types their username and password without hesitation. Victims usually arrive through links in messages, ads, search results or social posts that point to the fake domain. Anything entered into the "SL8 - Log in" form goes to the operators, not to SL8. They can then take over the account, lock out the owner and reuse the same credentials on other services where the password is shared.

Evidence

Independent detection is still limited. On VirusTotal, 2 of 92 engines flag the domain, alphaMountain.ai and Gridinsoft, as of 2026-10-16. The domain is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist and appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses. The low engine count means many security tools may not block it yet, so a clean result from one scanner does not make the page safe.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2019-01-31 through Gandi SAS, so it is several years older than its use for this page. It resolves to 216.150.1.1 on the AMAZON-02 network operated by Amazon.com, Inc. in the United States. The site serves HTTPS with a certificate from Let's Encrypt (YR1). The padlock only shows that the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

Do not enter any login details on sl8.online. If you already signed in there, change your SL8 password right away from the official site or app. Do the same on every other account that used the same password, and turn on two-factor authentication. Review recent account activity and active sessions, and sign out any devices you do not recognize. Security teams should block the domain and its IP at DNS and proxy level, search mail and chat logs for links to it, and report it to the hosting provider and registrar for takedown.
