safemoon.finance is an impersonation phishing page that borrows the Robinhood name and presents itself as "Safemoon · Robinhood Chain". It targets crypto users who know the Robinhood brand or the Safemoon token name and may believe a token is launching on a Robinhood-branded chain. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-12, and the site was still online and serving content on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
The page title pairs two names crypto users recognise, Safemoon and Robinhood, to make the site look like an official project page. Pages like this usually push visitors to connect a wallet to claim, swap or buy a token, or to enter account details. A wallet connection can lead to a signature or token approval that lets the operator move funds. Entered credentials give the operator access to the victim's accounts. Robinhood is the brand we classify as impersonated, and the Safemoon name in the title is part of that same lure.
Evidence
On 2026-09-23, VirusTotal showed 7 of 89 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and SOCRadar. That is a minority of engines, but it comes from several unrelated vendors. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing. The MetaMask and SEAL blocklists carry it alongside PhishDestroy, and those two lists focus on crypto-wallet threats. Four AlienVault OTX pulses also reference it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Name.com, Inc. on 2026-09-11, one day before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap points to a site built to go live right after registration. It is hosted on Amazon's AMAZON-02 network in the United States. The free Google Trust Services certificate means the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
What to do
Do not connect a wallet or sign anything on this site, and remember that Robinhood does not run token sales through look-alike domains. If you connected a wallet, revoke any approvals granted to unfamiliar contracts with a token-approval checker. Move remaining assets to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not fully understand. If you entered Robinhood or exchange credentials, change the password, reset two-factor authentication and review recent account activity. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to wallet and email filtering. Report it to the hosting provider and registrar while it stays online.
