How the scam works
Free Robux portals follow a familiar script. The visitor enters a Roblox username, picks an amount of Robux and is then asked to log in or pass a human verification step before the currency is supposedly delivered. That step is where the loss happens. Victims hand over their Roblox password, which leads to account takeover and theft of items, or they are pushed into surveys, app installs or forms that collect personal and payment details. No Robux is ever delivered, because Robux can only come from Roblox itself.
Evidence
VirusTotal showed 0 detections out of 92 engines on 2026-10-12, so traditional antivirus vendors had not caught this site when PhishDestroy flagged it. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist listing the domain. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it, which shows other researchers were tracking the same activity. The clean VirusTotal result reflects how quickly short-lived giveaway scams appear and disappear, not that the site is safe.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through NameCheap, Inc. on 2026-09-27, just 15 days before PhishDestroy detected it, and it went dark four days after detection. The site sat behind Cloudflare, Inc. with a Canadian-located address, which hides the real origin server from view.
What to do
If you entered your Roblox password on this site, change it right away and turn on 2-Step Verification. Also confirm that the email and phone number on the account are still yours, and log out all other sessions from the security settings. Check your inventory and transaction history for missing items or purchases you did not make, and report anything suspicious to Roblox support. If you filled in payment details or installed anything the site requested, contact your card issuer and remove the app. Parents should explain to children that free Robux offers outside Roblox are always scams.
