PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ranuwin.com is an impersonation phishing site. It poses as a legitimate service so visitors trust it with credentials, personal details or money. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-27. As of 2026-10-19 the domain was still alive and answering with a redirect, so anyone following a link to it can still be sent onward.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the look, wording and flow of a brand people already use. Victims arrive through ads, messages or search results and believe they are on the real site. They are then asked to log in, verify an account or make a payment, and whatever they type goes straight to the operators. Here the page title reads "301 Moved Permanently", which shows the domain forwarding visitors elsewhere, while our classification is impersonation phishing.

Evidence

On 2026-10-10, three of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and SOCRadar. That is a thin count, so most security products will not block this site on their own, and a clean result in a browser or scanner should not be read as safe. The domain also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers are tracking it. PhishDestroy currently carries it on our blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-23 through Fewmoretaps OU d/b/a Trustname.com, and we flagged it four days later. That short gap is typical of throwaway domains set up for a campaign rather than a real business. Traffic passes through Cloudflare, Inc. at an address geolocated to Canada, which hides the actual origin server. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives it a padlock in the browser, but that only means the connection is encrypted, not that the site is genuine.

What to do

If you entered a password on ranuwin.com, change it right away on the real service and on any other account that uses the same password. Turn on two-factor authentication and review recent logins and account activity. If you paid or entered card details, contact your bank or card issuer, dispute the charge and ask for a replacement card. Do not respond to any follow-up messages that ask you to verify or unlock your account. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and the web proxy, search logs for visits since 2026-09-23, and report it to Cloudflare and the registrar so the redirect can be shut down.
