PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ramylox.shop is a gaming-themed scam that calls itself "RamyLox - Free Robux Generator". It promises Roblox players free Robux, the platform's paid in-game currency. That bait works especially well on younger users. PhishDestroy first flagged the site on 2026-10-13, and it was still online and serving its content when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Robux generators do not exist. Robux can only come from Roblox itself, so any site claiming to produce them for free is lying from the first screen. These pages usually ask for a Roblox username and sometimes a password, then play a fake "generating" animation. Before the reward is "released", the visitor is told to pass a human verification step. That step pushes them into surveys, app installs, subscription sign-ups or other offers that earn the operator money. The victim never receives Robux and can lose their Roblox account, along with any personal details or payment information entered along the way.

Evidence

Nine of 92 security engines on VirusTotal flagged the domain as of 2026-10-18. The flagging vendors include Kaspersky, BitDefender, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF, Ermes and SOCRadar. That count is modest, but it comes from several unrelated vendors that reached the same conclusion within a week of registration. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-10-11 through HOSTINGER operations, UAB. It was already running as a scam two days later, when PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap fits a throwaway domain set up for one quick campaign. The site sits behind Cloudflare, with an address that geolocates to Canada, which hides the real origin server from visitors and researchers.

What to do

If you typed your Roblox password into this site, change it right away on the official Roblox site or app. Turn on 2-step verification, and log out of all other sessions from your account settings. If you use the same password anywhere else, change it there too. If you completed "verification" offers, check your phone bill, card statements and app store subscriptions for charges you did not approve, and cancel them. Remove any apps or browser extensions you installed at the site's request. Parents should explain to children that free Robux offers are always scams. Security teams and school or home network administrators should block ramylox.shop. They should also report it to Roblox and to Cloudflare's abuse channel so the content can be taken down.
