PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

primesecureonlinebk.com presented itself as "Prime Secure Online," a bank "dedicated to innovating, simplifying, and humanizing digital banking." PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page aimed at people looking for or managing an online bank account. We first saw it on 2026-10-03, one day after the domain was registered. The site went offline on 2026-10-14, and its DNS was still inactive when we last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake banks like this copy the polished language of real digital banks, with promises of simple and secure accounts. Victims are led to a login or account-opening page and asked for usernames, passwords, one-time codes, card details or identity documents. The operators then use those credentials to drain real accounts, or use the personal data for identity fraud. Some versions also ask victims to "fund" a new account or pay activation fees, and that money is lost.

Evidence

Six of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-10-05: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Netcraft and URLQuery. That count is modest, but it is a meaningful signal for a domain that was only three days old. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and matched the page to its generic banking phishing pattern. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing, it appears in one AlienVault OTX threat pulse, and it is on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown on 2026-10-02 and was serving its phishing page by the next day. That rapid turnaround is typical of throwaway domains built for short campaigns. It was hosted at 163.61.188.5 on the NEW DHAKA HARDWARE network, an autonomous system registered in Bangladesh, while the IP itself geolocates to the United States. The site stayed up for roughly eleven days after we first saw it.

What to do

If you entered a username or password on this site, change it immediately on your real bank's official app or website. Do the same anywhere else you used that password, and turn on two-factor authentication. If you shared card numbers, account details or one-time codes, call your bank's fraud line to freeze or reissue cards and review recent transactions. If you sent ID documents, watch for identity misuse and consider a credit freeze. Security teams should block the domain and its IP, and search mail and proxy logs for earlier contact with it.
