PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

pc-trezorsuite.com is an impersonation phishing domain built around Trezor, the hardware wallet maker. Its name mimics Trezor Suite, the official companion app, and the "pc-" prefix is aimed at people searching for a desktop download. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-07. The site has been dead since 2026-10-08, and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake Trezor Suite sites usually work in one of two ways. Some hand out a counterfeit installer. Others show a "wallet recovery" or "device update" screen that asks for the 12- or 24-word recovery seed. Anyone who types that phrase gives the operator full control of the wallet, and the funds can be swept within minutes. The hardware device offers no protection once the seed is exposed. The page title read "Suite Studios - Cloud Storage With File Streaming," which does not match the Trezor branding of the domain name we classified.

Evidence

VirusTotal returned 0 detections out of 92 engines on 2026-10-10, two days after the site went offline. A clean result there does not clear the domain. Independent crypto-focused blocklists did catch it: MetaMask and SEAL list it alongside PhishDestroy. The domain also appears in 6 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have tracked it as malicious infrastructure.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-10-06 through Hosting Concepts B.V. d/b/a Registrar.eu, one day before PhishDestroy detected it. It was dead roughly 48 hours after registration. That short lifespan is typical of disposable phishing domains that are used briefly and then dropped. Traffic was routed through Cloudflare, Inc. with a Canadian geolocation, so the real origin server is hidden behind the proxy.

What to do

If you entered your Trezor recovery seed on this site, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up a new seed on your device and move any remaining funds to it right away, because the attacker may sweep later deposits too. If you downloaded and ran a "Trezor Suite" file from this domain, remove it, scan the machine, and reinstall Suite only from Trezor's official site. Remember that Trezor never asks for your seed in an app or on a web page. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add lookalike Trezor Suite names to their monitoring.
