PhishDestroy threat report
mixer.money presents itself as "Bitcoin mixer 2.0" and promises to deliver "clean coins from stock exchanges." PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page that trades on the Bitcoin name to reach holders looking to obscure where their coins came from. We first flagged it on 2026-10-09. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and its address redirects visitors onward.
The page title advertises a mixing service rather than Bitcoin itself, while our classification treats the site as Bitcoin-branded impersonation phishing. Fraudulent mixers like this ask the user to send BTC to a deposit address on the promise that "clean" coins will come back to a fresh wallet, minus a service fee. Bitcoin transfers cannot be reversed, so once coins reach the operator's address the victim has no way to recover them. Users of such services rarely report losses, which is exactly why the model appeals to scammers.
On 2026-10-15, 6 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Chong Lua Dao, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is a modest share, so many security tools will still let the site through. Wallet-focused defenses carry more weight here. Besides PhishDestroy, the domain appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists. It also shows up in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have tracked it independently.
The domain was registered on 2021-12-20 through NameCheap, Inc., almost five years before we detected it. That long history makes it look more established than a freshly registered scam domain. It sits behind Cloudflare, Inc. on an address located in Canada, so the origin server's real location is hidden from visitors and investigators. The active redirect shows the operator is still maintaining the setup.
Do not send any coins to deposit addresses shown on mixer.money or on any page it redirects you to. If you already sent BTC, write down the transaction IDs and the addresses you used, and report them to SEAL and your local cybercrime unit. Treat any later message offering to recover your funds as a second scam. Defenders should block the domain and its redirect targets at DNS and proxy level, and watch for internal traffic to it.
