mantra88shopee.online is an impersonation phishing domain whose name pairs the tag "mantra88" with Shopee, the e-commerce marketplace. That combination is aimed at Shopee shoppers and sellers who might accept it as an official promo, store or rewards page. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-08-24. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving content.
How the scam works
Brand-impersonation domains like this one are usually spread through chat messages, social posts or ads promising discounts, prizes or paid "order tasks" linked to the marketplace. Victims are led to a page styled after the real brand and asked to log in, confirm an order or pay a fee. Anything typed there goes straight to the operators. That includes account passwords, one-time codes, card numbers and transfers. When we checked, the page title read "mantra88shopee.online is registered at Namecheap", which looks like a registrar placeholder, while we classify the domain as Shopee impersonation.
Evidence
Six of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-03: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, SOCRadar and URLQuery. That is a minority, but the six are independent vendors that reached the same verdict separately. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have linked it to malicious activity. It is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-08-15 through NAMECHEAP INC, just nine days before PhishDestroy flagged it. A fresh registration put to use this quickly is typical of throwaway phishing domains. It resolves to 192.64.119.102, an address hosted in the Netherlands. The site was still reachable more than two months after first detection.
What to do
Do not log in, pay or enter personal details on this site, and reach Shopee only through its official app or a bookmarked address. If you entered your Shopee password, change it right away, along with any other account that uses the same password, and turn on two-factor authentication. If you shared card details or sent a payment, contact your bank or card issuer to block the card and dispute the charge. Ignore any follow-up messages asking for extra "fees" to recover the money. Security teams should block the domain and its IP at DNS and proxy level, and check logs for users who visited it.
