PhishDestroy threat report
lger-live-desktop-en.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page posing as the download site for Ledger Live, the companion app for Ledger hardware wallets. The subdomain drops the "e" from Ledger, a misspelling that is easy to miss in a search result or a shared link. PhishDestroy first saw the page on 2026-09-08. On 2026-10-19 the site was still online and its content was still live.
The page is titled "Ledger Live Desktop - Secure Crypto Management on Your PC" and presents itself as the official way to install Ledger's software on a computer. Fake Ledger Live pages usually take one of two routes. Some push a rogue installer. Others lead the visitor to a "wallet recovery" or "sync" screen that asks for the 24-word recovery phrase. Whoever holds that phrase controls every account on the device, so a victim who types it in can have their funds emptied from anywhere, with no hardware confirmation required. Ledger never asks for the recovery phrase through software or a website.
On 2026-09-18, 15 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Emsisoft, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai and Google Safe Browsing. Google Safe Browsing classifies it as social engineering, and Spamhaus DBL lists it as phishing. The wallet-security blocklists from MetaMask and SEAL also carry it, as do PhishFeed and PhishDestroy. That means many wallet users and browsers already get a warning, though the site itself remains up.
The page is a free subdomain on Cloudflare Pages. It resolves to a Cloudflare, Inc. address geolocated in Canada and uses a Google Trust Services certificate. That combination gives any throwaway project HTTPS and a clean-looking address at no cost. The listed creation date of 2026-09-15 falls after PhishDestroy's first sighting on 2026-09-08, so it does not show how long the page ran before detection.
If you entered your recovery phrase on this page, treat the wallet as compromised. Reset your Ledger, generate a new phrase, and move any remaining funds there immediately, because the old phrase cannot be secured again. If you downloaded and ran software from it, uninstall it, scan the computer, and reinstall Ledger Live only from Ledger's official site. Once funds are moved, check for unexpected token approvals. Defenders should block the subdomain and report it to Cloudflare's abuse team, and should watch for other misspelled Ledger lookalikes on pages.dev.
