PhishDestroy threat report
ledgercom-starts.pages.dev is a phishing page impersonating Ledger, the hardware wallet maker. Its name is built to look like Ledger's official device setup flow, which makes new and returning Ledger owners the likely targets. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-08-31. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11 after Cloudflare blocked the content, and it was still down when last checked on 2026-10-19.
Ledger impersonation pages usually copy the look of the official "get started" process and then claim the device needs to be synced, restored or verified. To do that, the victim is asked to type their 24-word recovery phrase into a web form. Anyone holding that phrase controls the wallet, so the attacker can empty every account on it without ever touching the physical device. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is Cloudflare's own warning screen rather than Ledger branding, while we classified the original content as Ledger impersonation.
Nine of 89 VirusTotal engines flag the domain, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Sophos, Netcraft, G-Data, Emsisoft and alphaMountain.ai, as of the 2026-09-13 check. That is a modest count, but it comes from several established security vendors acting independently. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict, and its brand detection picked up the Cloudflare warning page. Beyond PhishDestroy, the domain is listed on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, both of which focus specifically on crypto threats.
The page sits on Cloudflare Pages, a free hosting service where anyone can publish a site under a pages.dev subdomain within minutes. That lets the operator borrow a trusted parent domain and avoid registering a lookalike domain of their own. The hostname dates to 2025-10-16, about ten months before PhishDestroy flagged it. It resolves to Cloudflare's network, with the hosting location given as Canada.
If you typed your recovery phrase into this site, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up a Ledger device with a brand-new phrase and move any remaining funds to it immediately. Never reuse the old phrase. If you connected a wallet and signed anything, review and revoke token approvals as well. Remember that Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase on a website or in an app. Defenders should block the domain and keep an eye out for similar pages.dev hostnames that reuse Ledger setup wording.
