Overview

ledger-us-live-app.typedream.app is a phishing page impersonating Ledger, the hardware wallet maker, and its Ledger Live companion app. It runs on a subdomain of the Typedream site builder and carries the title "Ledger® Live App | Official Site® | ledger", which tries to pass the page off as Ledger's own. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-14. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its phishing content.

How the scam works

Fake Ledger Live pages target people searching for the app or for help with their device. They typically offer a fake download, a "wallet sync" or a "security check" that ends with a request for the 24-word recovery phrase. Ledger never asks for that phrase online. Anyone who types it into a page like this hands over full control of the wallet, and the attackers can empty every account tied to it from their own device without the hardware wallet ever being touched. The repeated registered-trademark symbols and the "Official Site" claim in the title exist to make visitors trust the page enough to type their phrase.

Evidence

On 2026-10-18, 19 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the page, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CyRadar, DNS8, Ermes, ESET, Emsisoft and Forcepoint ThreatSeeker. Spamhaus lists the hostname in its Domain Block List as phishing (DBL_PHISH), which means mail and DNS filters using that list will block it. PhishDestroy carries it on its blocklist as well.

Infrastructure

The page sits on a free site-builder subdomain rather than a domain the operators registered, so there is no registrar trail to follow and the setup costs them almost nothing to replace. Traffic resolves to 188.114.96.1 on Cloudflare's network (AS13335), located in the US, which hides the true origin server. Takedown therefore depends on the site-builder platform removing the page.

What to do

If you entered your Ledger recovery phrase on this site, treat that wallet as compromised. Set up a new wallet with a freshly generated phrase on a reset device and move any remaining funds there immediately. If you also connected a wallet through the page, revoke any token approvals it requested. Get Ledger Live only from Ledger's own website, and ignore any page that asks for your 24 words. Security teams should block the hostname at DNS and proxy level, use Spamhaus DBL feeds in mail filtering, and report the page to Typedream for removal.
