PhishDestroy threat report
ledger--starrt.pages.dev is a phishing page that impersonated Ledger, the hardware wallet maker. Its target was Ledger owners looking for setup or onboarding help, and the doubled hyphen and misspelled "starrt" mimic an official "start" page. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-01. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11, Cloudflare has blocked its content, and it was still down when last checked on 2026-10-19.
Ledger impersonation pages usually copy Ledger's setup flow. They tell the visitor the device needs to be verified, synced or recovered, then ask for the 24-word recovery phrase. Anyone who types that phrase into the page gives the operator full control of every account it secures, and the funds can be swept to the attacker's wallets within minutes. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is the hosting provider's own warning page rather than Ledger-branded content.
Our impersonation verdict is backed by MetaMask's and SEAL's blocklists, so wallet users running those protections are warned before the page loads. On VirusTotal, only 3 of 89 engines flagged it as of 2026-09-11: alphaMountain.ai, Fortinet and LevelBlue. That count is low, which is typical for short-lived phishing on shared platforms, so a mostly clean scan result should not be read as proof of safety. Cloudflare's own block on the content is a further independent confirmation.
The site ran as a free subdomain on Cloudflare Pages, a static hosting service that gives scammers a trusted-looking address and a valid certificate at no cost. The project dates to 2025-10-03, almost eleven months before we detected it. It was served from Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure geolocated to Canada. Because it lived on a shared platform rather than a purchased domain, the takedown came through the provider's block.
If you entered your recovery phrase on this page, treat it as compromised. Set up a new wallet with a freshly generated phrase on your Ledger device and move any remaining funds there right away. If you also connected a software wallet, revoke any token approvals you granted. Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase on a website, in an app or through support, so any page that does is a scam. Defenders should block this hostname and watch for similar Ledger-themed subdomains on pages.dev and other free hosting platforms.
