PhishDestroy threat report
ledger--life.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page posing as Ledger. The doubled hyphen in the name is meant to pass as an official Ledger Live address at a glance. It targets owners of Ledger hardware wallets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-01, and the site has been offline since 2026-09-11. It was still down when last checked on 2026-10-19, with its content blocked by the hosting provider.
Ledger impersonation pages usually copy the look of Ledger Live and claim the user must sync, verify or restore the wallet. To do that, they ask for the 24-word recovery phrase. Ledger never asks for that phrase on any website. Anyone who types it in hands over full control of the wallet, and the attacker can empty it from any device without touching the physical Ledger. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is Cloudflare's warning screen rather than a Ledger page, while we classify the underlying site as Ledger impersonation.
On 2026-09-13, 13 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the address, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, alphaMountain.ai and CyRadar. That is a moderate share, but it comes from several unrelated vendors. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict, and the only brand it matched was Cloudflare's generic warning page. Besides PhishDestroy, the address is listed by MetaMask and SEAL, two blocklists focused on crypto.
The site ran as a project on Cloudflare Pages, a free static-hosting service that gives every project a pages.dev subdomain, which makes lookalike names cheap to spin up. The project dates to 2025-11-10, about ten months before PhishDestroy detected it. It was served from Cloudflare's network on an IP located in Canada. Cloudflare took the content down within about ten days of first detection.
If you entered your recovery phrase on this site, treat the wallet as compromised. Move all funds immediately to a new wallet created with a fresh recovery phrase, ideally on a reset or new device, and never reuse the old phrase. If you only connected a software wallet or signed transactions, review and revoke any token approvals you do not recognise. Download Ledger Live only from Ledger's official site. Defenders should block the domain and watch for similar Ledger-themed pages.dev subdomains, which tend to reappear under new names after takedowns.
