PhishDestroy threat report
ledger---live-web.pages.dev posed as a web version of Ledger Live, the companion app for Ledger hardware wallets, to lure Ledger owners. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-01. It has been offline since 2026-09-11, after the hosting provider blocked its content, and it was still dead when last checked on 2026-10-19.
Ledger Live has no official browser edition, so any site offering "Ledger Live web" exists only to deceive. Pages like this usually claim the wallet needs a sync, update or security check, then ask for the 24-word recovery phrase. Anyone who types that phrase hands over full control of the wallet, and the attacker can empty it from any device without touching the hardware. The page now shows the title "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is Cloudflare's own warning screen rather than Ledger branding, while our classification remains Ledger impersonation.
urlscan.io rated the site malicious, and its brand match of a generic Cloudflare page fits the provider's block screen that replaced the original content. The domain sits on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists as well as PhishDestroy's. VirusTotal was far behind: on 2026-09-11, none of 89 engines flagged it, so a clean scan there would not have protected a visitor during its active window.
The site was a free subdomain on Cloudflare Pages, so the operator never had to register a domain or run a server. It resolved to Cloudflare, Inc. address space geolocated to Canada. The triple-hyphenated name, "ledger---live-web", is a common trick to make a throwaway subdomain read like an official product address at a glance. Cloudflare acted quickly, and the content went down roughly ten days after PhishDestroy first detected it.
If you entered your recovery phrase on this site, treat that wallet as compromised. Set up a new Ledger with a fresh phrase on a device you trust, and move any remaining funds there immediately. Never reuse the exposed phrase, and remember that Ledger will never ask for it online or through a website. If you connected a software wallet, review and revoke any token approvals you granted. Defenders should block the hostname, watch for similar pages.dev subdomains built around Ledger Live, and report new ones to Cloudflare and the blocklists named above.
