PhishDestroy threat report
learn-start-ledgr--io-en.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page posing as official Ledger onboarding material under the title "Ledger Wallet Setup Guide: Deep Dive Security". It targets people setting up or troubleshooting a Ledger hardware wallet, and its misspelled "ledgr" and "io-en" subdomain imitates a localized Ledger help address. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-01, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
Fake Ledger setup guides catch users at the moment they expect to type sensitive information. A page framed as a security deep dive walks the visitor through steps that look like normal device setup, then asks for the 24-word recovery phrase or prompts a download or wallet connection presented as a required verification. Ledger never asks for a recovery phrase on a website. Anyone who enters it hands over full control of every account derived from that seed, and the funds can be moved without ever touching the physical device.
Detection by antivirus engines is thin. On 2026-10-16, only 3 of 92 VirusTotal engines (alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and Fortinet) flagged the page, so most browser and endpoint protections are unlikely to warn visitors. Crypto-focused feeds give stronger backing: the page appears on the PhishDestroy, MetaMask, SEAL and PhishFeed blocklists, and the MetaMask entry means users of that wallet should see a warning before the page loads.
The site runs on a free Cloudflare Pages subdomain rather than a purchased domain, which costs the operator nothing and borrows the reputation of a widely trusted platform. The project dates to 2025-11-06, roughly ten months before PhishDestroy caught it. It resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. network space geolocated to Canada. That shared front-end hides the operator's real origin, so removal depends on the platform taking down this specific project.
If you typed your recovery phrase into this page, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up a new device or reset your current one with a fresh seed, then move remaining funds to the new addresses immediately, starting with the most valuable assets. If you connected a software wallet or signed anything, revoke token approvals with a reputable approval checker and run a malware scan on any file the page offered. Security teams should block the hostname and watch for other pages.dev projects using "ledgr" or similar Ledger misspellings. Report the project to Cloudflare's abuse channel so it can be removed.
