Overview

kako-sheets.quest is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as a Kakobuy product spreadsheet for buyers in Spain. Its page title is "Kakobuy Spreadsheet para compradores en España | Kako Desk", and it targets Spanish-speaking shoppers who use the Kakobuy purchasing agent. PhishDestroy first saw the domain on 2026-10-17. As of 2026-10-19 the site was alive and its content was live.

How the scam works

Shoppers who use buying agents like Kakobuy often rely on community spreadsheets that list products with direct order links. Impersonation sites copy this format and the brand name to look like a trusted shopping hub. They then route visitors to fake login, checkout or payment pages controlled by the operators. Victims can lose their agent account credentials, card or payment details, and money sent for orders that never arrive. The Spanish-language title and the "Kako Desk" branding are tailored to make the page feel local and legitimate.

Evidence

PhishDestroy lists the domain on its blocklist as Kakobuy impersonation. When VirusTotal checked it on 2026-10-17, none of its 92 engines flagged it, so automated scanners had not yet caught up with this site. The domain also appears in 3 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers are tracking it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-10-12 through Spaceship, Inc., five days before PhishDestroy first saw it. It is hosted on Amazon's AMAZON-02 network in the United States at 52.37.165.222. Its TLS certificate comes from Let's Encrypt (YE1), so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you visited kako-sheets.quest and entered a Kakobuy username or password, change it right away on the official Kakobuy site and anywhere else you use the same password. Then turn on two-factor authentication if it is offered. If you entered card or payment details, contact your bank or card issuer, ask them to block the card, and dispute any charges you do not recognise. Reach Kakobuy only through bookmarks or links you have checked yourself, not through spreadsheet sites you find in search results or social posts. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP and watch for lookalike Kakobuy spreadsheet domains on new TLDs.
