Overview

horamex.com is an impersonation phishing site. It borrows the identity of a legitimate service so crypto users trust it with credentials, wallet connections or money. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-11. As of 2026-10-19 the domain was still online and redirecting visitors elsewhere, so the lure remains usable.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the branding, wording and layout of a real platform, then reach victims through ads, search results, social media replies or direct messages. Once the visitor believes they are on the genuine site, they are asked to log in, enter a recovery phrase, connect a wallet or make a deposit. Whatever is typed or approved goes straight to the operators. Victims can lose account access, see their wallets drained, or send funds that cannot be recovered. A redirect like the one on this domain is a common way to pass traffic to a separate landing page.

Evidence

Independent detection is still thin. VirusTotal showed 3 of 92 engines flagging the domain on 2026-10-16: CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and VIPRE. That low count means most security tools would not yet warn a visitor, so a clean result elsewhere should not reassure anyone. The domain appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers are tracking it. PhishDestroy's own blocklist is currently the only list carrying it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-07-31 through Fewmoretaps OU, which trades as Trustname.com. That was about ten weeks before PhishDestroy detected it, so the name may have sat unused before the campaign started, or run quietly before anyone noticed. The site sits behind Cloudflare, with the address geolocated to Canada. That setup hides the real origin server and makes the site hard to trace from the outside.

What to do

If you reached horamex.com, do not continue through its redirect, and close the tab. If you entered a password there, change it on the real service and on any account that reuses it, and turn on app-based 2FA. If you typed in a recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move your funds to a new wallet right away. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, review and revoke token approvals with a trusted revocation tool. If you sent money, report it to your exchange and local police, and do not trust anyone who offers to recover funds for a fee. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and the web proxy, add it to mail and chat filters, and report it to Cloudflare and Trustname.com for takedown.
